Intimate Wedding in Certaldo: The Soul of Tuscany

Walking through the village during the couple's session in Certaldo felt like stepping into suspended time. There were no set patterns. We let their steps—slow and close—dictate the narrative.
I am often asked how I manage to capture such spontaneous portraits. The answer lies in silence. I let the couple inhabit the space, letting them forget the lens. In this session, every shot is a fragment of a private conversation:
-
A hand reaching for another in the shadows of the cloister.
-
A subtle smile, born from a word whispered in an ear.
-
The authentic emotion that emerges when the outside world ceases to exist.
This is my idea of an intimate couple portrait: an image that doesn't shout, but whispers the depth of a bond.

The value of a wedding is not measured by the number of guests, but by the density of the moments lived. Photographing such a private event requires respect. Discretion is not just a shooting technique; it is a philosophy.
As the sun set over the Val d'Elsa hills, painting the roofs of Certaldo in deep orange, the atmosphere became even more ethereal. In those moments, photography stops being a mere service and becomes an emotional legacy. No artifice, no pretense. Just two people, their promise, and the timeless beauty of a land that knows how to protect true love.
